Teacher Appreciation Week

Every May, the PTO celebrates all our teachers and staff.  We celebrate their dedication to education, to making our community and world a better place, and doing it all with such grace.

We will be celebrating our annual appreciation week May 2-6, with a fun baseball theme. Below is the itinerary of weekly events for the students to participate in. We want to shower our staff with the appreciation they deserve so we thank you for encouraging your child to participate in the week's festivities!


Monday, 5/2 - SUIT UP!
Wear your favorite baseball gear/attire to get in the game! (Hats will be allowed, but on this day ONLY.)


Tuesday, 5/3 - HIGH FIVES!
Students should show their appreciation by high fiving teachers and staff members throughout the day!


Wednesday, 5/4 - BIGGEST FAN
Students can write notes to show why they appreciate their teachers and staff members. Themed templates are linked HERE and can be printed out at home to be written in advance, or students can make their own! Additional printouts will be provided in their classrooms if you don't have a printer. Students are encouraged to write as many notes as they want to hand out to their teachers and staff. Be sure to remember all of the custodial, lunch, office, and para professionals as you write your notes of appreciation!


Thursday, 5/5 - ALL STAR PHOTOS
Students will have the opportunity to take an all star class photo with their teacher in our themed photo area. Wear fun baseball attire to make your photo op a winner! (Hats are NOT allowed on this day.)


Friday, 5/6 - 7TH INNING STRETCH
An exciting all-school celebration will highlight our fabulous staff! Have your student make and bring a sign to show their Thorson love and don't forget to wear Thorson Spiritwear!


We are looking forward to a fun week of showing the Thorson teachers and staff just how much they are appreciated. And once again, thank you for your support!
